The Hammer & The i-Phone

We can be equally distracted by a hammer as we can by an i-Phone...and whatever your distraction may be...pray against it...and get into the Word.

This post will be a bit shorter than normal.  No need for a long introduction as I think Pastor Piper summed up well in the video (link below) the significance of a genuine search of our lives and our hearts in order to seek out and destroy modern day "distractions" which keep us from Christ.  It's not always gadgets either.  We can become equally distracted by a hammer as we can by an i-Phone.  We can become equally distracted by a guitar as we can by an X-Box.  We can be equally distracted by the television as we can by a Kindle or an i-Pad.  Whatever your distraction may be...pray against it...and get into the Word.

Find your distractions, whatever they may be, and pray that God will provide you the means to battle them and use them for Christ's Glory.
